RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE $125,000 TO FUND 240 IN GRANT FUNDING FROM THE STUPSKI FOUNDATION FOR THE HAYWARD FOOD, AGRICULTURE, AND ECONOMY PLAN WHEREAS, in the last year, the City joined Alameda County’s All in Eats Initiative and listed exploring funding opportunities to increase the circular food economy in Hayward as a project in the City of Hayward’s Strategic Roadmap; and WHEREAS, the Stupski Foundation has awarded the City a $125,000 grant to pay for elements of the Hayward Food, Agriculture, and Economy Plan which will convene local partners and define key priorities for Hayward’s food availability and access, career pathways, entrepreneurship support, and culture and wellness.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward authorizes the City Manager to accept and appropriate $125,000 to Fund 240 in grant funding from the Stupski Foundation for the Hayward Food, Agriculture, and Economy Plan.
