1. City Council Vacancy: Selection and Appointment Process for Two-Year Council Seat (Report from CIty Clerk Lens)
Nomination to appoint Dan Goldstein was carried by the following vote:
Aye: 5 - Council Member Andrews, Council Member Marquez, Mayor Salinas, Council Member Zermeno, and Council Member Roche
Abstain: 1 - Council Member Syrop
LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS
2. Resolution Appointing a Council Member for the City of Hayward (Report from City Clerk Lens)
A motion was made by Council Member Zerme ño, seconded by Council Member M árquez, to approve the resolution appointing Dan Goldstein as the new Council Member. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: Council Member Andrews, Council Member Marquez, Mayor Salinas, Council Member Zermeno, Council Member Syrop, and Council Member Roche

Newly appointed Council Member Goldstein was sworn-in by City Clerk Lens.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Salinas adjourned the special meeting at 8:55 p.m.
