Site Features
1. Drop-Off Area
2. Rest Points
3. Building Entry
4. Amphitheater Seating
The landscape design
provides a clear path of travel
from the parking area to the
building entry, while also
offering moments to pause
along the way.
Landscape elements interpret
the administrative building’s
architectural theme of flow
through the use of varied
paving materials, site
furnishings, and native
planting.

18 Drop-Off Area
RHAA Landscape Architecture & Planning
The drop-off area introduces the design
theme of flow, connecting visitors to a
path that brings visitors to the building
entrance. The area features native
planting, seating, and special paving to
provide a sense of arrival.
N
Rest Points
19 N
Rest points along the path with site
furnishings such as seating and
interpretive signage, invite pedestrians to
pause for a few moments while also
creating destinations that pull visitors
along the path.

An entry plaza flows into the building
lobby connecting the interior and the
exterior
RHAA Landscape Architecture & Planning
21 N
A small amphitheater, framed by a change in
paving, offers a space to pause longer –
perhaps for lunch, a coffee break, or a
meeting outdoors when the weather is nice.
