RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF THE COUNCIL HOMLESSNESS-HOUSING TASK FORCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIOD THROUGH MARCH 2024 AND APPOINTMENT OF COUNCIL MEMBERS WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 19-020, dated January 29, 2019, the City Council of the City of Hayward established the Homelessness-Housing Task Force for a two-year period beginning in March 2019 through March 2021 to help facilitate a more in-depth evaluation of options to address the current homelessness-housing crisis; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 20-219, dated December 8, 2020, the City Council of the City of Hayward approved an extension of the Homelessness-Housing Task Force for a two-year period through March 2023 to continue to address homelessness and housing concerns in the City of Hayward; and WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that there continues to be a need for the Homelessness-Housing Task Force in the City of Hayward and desires to extend the Council Homelessness-Housing Task force for an additional one-year period through March 2024 and to continue to meet on a quarterly basis during this period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward that the Council hereby authorizes the extension of the Council Homelessness-Housing Task Force for an additional one-year period and the Mayor will appoint three members from the Council to serve on the Task Force.
