RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF $497,700 FROM THE STREET SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS (FUND 450) TO THE MEDIAN LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 05281 PHASE 1 AND 2 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 23-005 on January 17, 2023, the City Council approved the plans and specifications for the FY23 Median Landscape Improvement – Phase 1, Project No. 05281, and called for bids to be received on February 14, 2023; WHEREAS, the anticipated calling for bids for FY23 Median Landscape Improvement Phase 2 to be received on June 13, 2023; WHEREAS, the Recommended FY24 Capital Improvement Program includes a recommended budget total of $2,571,000 in the Street System Improvements Fund (Fund 450); WHEREAS, the project total for Phase 1 and 2 is estimated to be $3,068,700; WHEREAS, additional funds appropriated to the Project are needed to support the professional services agreement, the project management assistance, construction inspection and processional services for the project’s Planning and Scoping Phase for Phase 2; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Hayward hereby approves the amendment of the FY 2023 Capital Improvement Program Budget to include an increase in appropriation in the amount of $497,700 in the Street System Improvements Fund (Fund 450) to the Median Landscape Improvement Project No. 05281.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the project is categorically exempt under Section 15301(c) of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines for the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing facilities.
