RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A THREE-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH PACHECO LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT ALL HAYWARD FIRE DEPARTMENT STATIONS IN AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $319,600 WHEREAS, the Hayward Fire Department currently uses fire personnel to maintain landscaping at all Hayward Fire Department Stations; and WHEREAS, such fire personnel have exceeded their capacity to provide the appropriate upkeep needed to meet standards for neighborhood preservation; and WHEREAS, through experience and a competitive bid process, Pacheco Landscape Management has been selected to perform necessary maintenance requirements for the seven (7) fire stations, to replace fire personnel previously tasked with such landscaping; and WHEREAS, the required funding will be appropriated from the Hayward Fire Department general fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby adopts the following findings and takes the following actions:
That the City Manager is authorized and directed to execute an agreement with Pacheco Landscape Management for the Fire Department's ongoing landscape maintenance needs for seven (7) fire stations for an agreement not-to-exceed $319,600 for three (3) years.
