RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROPRIATE $137,125 FROM MEASURE BB LOCAL TRANSPORATION (FUND 212) TO THE SAFE ROUTES 2 SCHOOL CESAR CHAVEZ MIDDLE SCHOOL PROJECT NO. 05319 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 21-188 on September 28, 2021, the City Council authorized the City Manager to accept the grant funds and appropriate a total budget of $324,000 for the SR2S Program; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 23-090 on April 25, 2023, the City Council rejected bids that were received on March 7, 2023 and approved the revised plans, specifications and estimates; and WHEREAS, the Adopted FY 2024 Capital Improvement Program includes a budget total of $324,000 in the Measure BB Local Transportation (Fund 212); and WHEREAS, the project total is estimated to be $461,125; and WHEREAS, additional funds appropriated to the Project are needed to support the construction, design and administration, inspection and construction management for the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Hayward hereby approves that $137,125 from the Measure BB Local Transportation (Fund 212) be appropriated to the Safe Routes to School Cesar Chavez Middle School Project No. 05319.
