RESOLUTION NO. 23-
Introduced by Council Member
resolution OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE SHORT- AND LONG-TERM MICROMOBILITY PROGRAMS WHEREAS, the City received a grant from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) to evaluate the feasibility of establishing a Micromobility program; and WHEREAS, MTC managed the Micromobility Feasibility Study (Project) on behalf of the City; and WHEREAS, Toole Design consultant team was selected by MTC to develop a Draft Micromobility Feasibility Study; and WHEREAS, the Draft Micromobility Feasibility Study recommended short- and long-term Micromobility Programs; and WHEREAS, The Short-Term recommendation is to create an E-bike Rebate Clearing House; and WHEREAS, The Long-Term recommendation is to create a regional program that may include the cities of San Leandro, Hayward, Union City, Fremont and the Alameda County unincorporated area of Castro Valley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby approves the short and long term Micromobility Programs.
