RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE $12,057 RECEVIED FROM INSURANCE CLAIMS REIMBURSMENTS TO BE USED BY THE HAYWARD FIRE DEPARTMENT TO REPLACE EMERGENCY SERVICES SHELTER EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, these funds are designated to be used to replenish stolen/damaged emergency shelter equipment WHEREAS, the funds will be deposited into fund 100 and immediately used to purchase essential materials to properly house the public in a state of emergency.
WHEREAS, any additional funds will be used to cover necessary repairs and maintenance at the Matt Jimenez Community Center, which will also house the emergency supplies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Hayward authorizes the City Manager to accept and appropriate $12,057 in insurance reimbursement funds to the Hayward Fire Department General Fund (Fund 100) for the purchase of emergency shelter equipment.
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Hayward hereby approves the amendment of the FY 2024 Operating Budget Resolution by increasing the budget appropriation of $12,057 to the General Fund.
