RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF HAYWARD TO INCREASE THE WINTER WARMING SHELTER AT SOUTH HAYWARD PARISH CONTRACT AMOUNT BY $495,000 FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,545,000 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hayward by Resolution No. 21-145, dated July 13, 2021, authorized the City Manager to Negotiate and Execute an Agreement with CONTRACTOR for FY21-22 Winter Warming Center Expansion and Day-Resource Center at South Hayward Parish Services for an amount not-to-exceed $1,644,314; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hayward by Resolution No. 23-212 dated August 15, 2023, authorized the City Manager or her designee to amend the professional services Agreement with First Presbyterian Church of Hayward to increase the Winter Warming Shelter contract amount by $405,686 for a not-to-exceed amount of $2,050,000 for FY21-23 Winter Warming Shelter services; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hayward by Resolution No. 23-212 dated August 15, 2023, also authorized the City Manager or her designee to extend the term of the professional services Agreement with First Presbyterian Church of Hayward to end on June 30, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, that the City Council of the City of Hayward hereby authorizes the City Manager or her designee to amend the professional services Agreement with First Presbyterian Church of Hayward to increase the Winter Warming Shelter contract amount by $495,000 for a not-to-exceed amount of $2,545,000 to allow for year-round operations through the end of Fiscal Year 2024.
