RESOLUTION to establish the council public safety committee, dissolve the police department community advisory panel, and consolidate the council airport committee with the council infrastructure committee WHEREAS, on October 24 Council discussed the various approaches to increasing transparency around public safety; and WHEREAS, at that same meeting Council directed staff to establish a Public Safety Committee; and WHEREAS, Council expressed a desire to review existing subcommittees and to consolidate where possible.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Hayward that a Council Subcommittee be established to review items related to Public Safety, called the Council Public Safety Committee; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Police Department Community Advisory Panel be dissolved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council Airport Committee be dissolved and items regarding the Airport be consolidated with the Council Infrastructure Committee.
