RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HAYWARD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF HAYWARD AND LOOKINGPOINT FOR NETWORK REFRESH WHEREAS, The City has an extensive and complex data/voice network that supports every department and provides computer and telephony systems functionality throughout the enterprise; and WHEREAS, the current system has had various segments and components updated over time but a total upgrade is now necessary; and WHEREAS, on June 9, 2023 the City issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) through OpenGov to design, install and configure a complete network refresh; and WHEREAS, the City received seven responses to the RFP by the October 9, 2023 deadline; and WHEREAS, LookingPoint is a local business and their Network Refresh solution offers level one support and on-site monitoring which are two highly desirable features requested by the City; and WHEREAS, LookingPoint was selected by the City for implementation of the Network Refresh solution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward authorizes and directs the City Manager to negotiate and execute an Agreement with LookingPoint for Network Refresh solution in an amount not to exceed $2,340,126, in a form approved by the City Attorney.
