RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF HAYWARD AND MAZE AND ASSOCIATES FOR AUDIT AND FINANCIAL SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF HAYWARD FOR AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $389,807
WHEREAS, the City of Hayward has contracted with Maze & Associates for audit and financial services since 2011; and WHEREAS, the City solicited requests for proposals in July 2023; and WHEREAS, the City received five responses and conducted a thorough review and assessment of all five firms; and WHEREAS, the aggregated scores demonstrated a clear margin for Maze & Associates to provide professional audit services.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate and execute an agreement with Maze & Associates on behalf of the City of Hayward for audit and financial services in an amount not-to-exceed $389,807 with Maze & Associates in a form approved by the City Attorney, to complete the audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026 (three-year term) with an option to extend the agreement for auditing financial statements for two additional fiscal years.
