HAYWARD CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 24-

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE TWO 135 HP VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE (VFD) SYSTEMS FROM INTEC SOLUTIONS INC. FOR USE AT THE VALLE VISTA LIFT STATION, CIP PROJECT NO. 07739, IN AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $152,000 WHEREAS, the Valle Vista Lift Station currently utilizes four motor controllers, two soft starts and two VFDs, to drive the four pumps on site; and WHEREAS, two VFDs are obsolete and must be replaced in order to avoid interruption of services; and WHEREAS, the Utilities Division is standardizing using ABB motor controls for lift stations; and WHEREAS, the Adopted FY 2024 Capital Improvement Program includes funding for the replacement of VFDs at the Valle Vista Lift Station in an amount of $250,000 in the Sewer Replacement Fund (CIP Project No. 07739).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to proceed with the procurement of two 135 hp VFDs and replacement services from Intec Solutions, Inc., in an amount not-to-exceed $152,000.
