RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO GSW CONSTRUCTION, INC., FOR THE TRASH CAPTURE DEVICE INSTALLATION ON ARF AVENUE, PROJECT NO. 07746, IN AN AMOUNT OF $ 398,000 AND A CONTIGENCY BUDGET OF $82,000 FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $480,000 WHEREAS, on March 26, 2024 City Council adopted Resolution No. 24-055 approving the plans and releasing a call for bids for the Project; and WHEREAS, on April. 20, 2024, staff received two (2) responsive bids; and WHEREAS, the FY24 CIP Budget has sufficient appropriated funds to the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hayward that GSW Construction, Inc. is hereby awarded the construction contract for the Trash Capture Device Installation on Arf Avenue, Project No. 07746, in the amount of $398,000 and a contingency budget of $82,000 for a total contract not-to-exceed amount of $480,000, in accordance with the plans and specifications adopted therefore and on file in the City Clerk’s Office and for the price named and stated in the bid of the hereinabove specified bidder, and all other bids are hereby rejected.
BE IT FURHTER RESOLVED, that the City Manager is authorized to enter into the above-mentioned contract, in a form approved by the City Attorney.
