RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN UPDATE TO THE GUIDELINES FOR INSTALLATION OF SPEED HUMPS WHEREAS, on December 12, 1995, by resolution, the City Council adopted the current Guidelines for Installation of Speed Humps; and WHEREAS, the Guidelines for Installation of Speed Humps defines the traffic and geometric criteria that staff to use to qualify streets for speed humps; and WHEREAS, staff have recommended updates to the Guidelines for Installation of Speed Humps to align with current state-of-the-practice selection, design, and application of speed humps based on evaluated traffic calming effectiveness.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward hereby adopts the update to the Guidelines for Installation of Speed Humps (Attachment III).
