AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF $92,489.34 FROM FUND 460 TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT TO THE PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING PHASE OF THE TENNYSON ROAD CROSSING SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS, PROJECT NO. 06944, FOR A TOTAL PROJECT BALANCE OF $598,731.80 WHEREAS, on January 23, 2024, Council authorized the City Manager to accept and appropriate $506,242.46 of Federal Railway-Highway Crossings Section 130 funds for the Tennyson Road Crossing Safety Improvements Project, Project No. 06944; and WHEREAS, additional funds appropriated to the Project are needed to support the cooperative agreement with Caltrans, professional services, and staff costs for the Preliminary Engineering Phase; and WHEREAS, the total project balance required to complete the Preliminary Engineering Phase is $598,731.80.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to appropriate $92,489.34 from the Transportation System Improvement (Fund 460) to the Tennyson Road Rail Crossing Safety Improvements Project, Project No. 06944, for a total project balance of $598,731.80.
