AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH FEHR & PEERS FOR CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE SPEED MANAGEMENT PLAN, PROJECT NO. 06943 IN AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $210,000 WHEREAS, professional service assistance is needed for the Speed Management Plan, Project No. 06943; and WHEREAS, the Speed Management Plan will help develop strategies to implement the Hayward Local Road Safety Plan and Vision Zero policy; and WHEREAS, on September 13, 2024, four (4) valid proposals were received and then evaluated for the most qualified proposal. Fehr &Peers was ranked the highest with an average score of 83/100 based on criteria established in the Request for Proposal 25-013; and WHEREAS, the negotiated cost proposal is in the amount of $210,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with Fehr &Peers for consulting services in a not-to-exceed amount of $210,000, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney.
