ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO INCREASE THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH DEWBERRY ARCHITECTS, INC. FOR THE DESIGN OF THE HAYWARD POLICE DEPARTMENT LOCKER ROOM AND COMMUNICATIONS CENTER PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT OF $338,000 FOR A NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $868,000, PROJECT NO. 07420 AND TO APPROPRIATE $338,000 FROM CAPITAL PROJECTS (GOVERNMENTAL) - FUND 405 TO THE HAYWARD POLICE DEPARTMENT LOCKER ROOM & COMMUNICATIONS CENTER, PROJECT NO. 07420 WHEREAS, the aforesaid parties have entered into a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) dated the 19th day of April 2022 for the architectural and engineering services for the Hayward Police Department Locker Room, Project No. 07420, in an amount not-to-exceed $416,000; and WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1, dated March 19, 2024 was approved for amending the PSA by $114,000 for a not-to-exceed amount of $530,000; and WHEREAS, the City and the Consultant desire to amend the Agreement in certain respects to include additional architectural and engineering design services for an amount of $338,000 for a total not-to-exceed amount of $868,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Hayward, an amendment to the agreement with Dewberry Architect, Inc., in the amount of $338,000 for additional services not-to-exceed $868,000 associated with the Hayward Police Department Locker Room & Communications Center Project, in a form approved by the City Attorney and that $338,000 from the Capital Project (Governmental) – Fund 405, be appropriated to Project No. 07420.
