A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HAYWARD APPROVING THE EMPLOYEE HOME LOAN PROGRAM LOAN AGREEMENT AND SETTING THE TERMS FOR REPAYMENT WHEREAS, in 2019, the City of Hayward approved an Employee Home Loan program; and WHEREAS, in 2024, City Council authorized and appropriated $1,000,000 in funding for the Employee Home Loan Program; and WHEREAS the City recognizes the benefits associated with City of Hayward employees living within City limits; and WHEREAS funds loaned to participants of the Employee Home Loan Program will be returned to the City, with interest, in the form of regularly scheduled loan payments or loan repayments in full; and WHEREAS proceeds from the loan will be returned to the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward hereby approves the Employee Home Loan Program as outlined in the Staff Report.
