RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND THE FY 2025 BUDGET RESOLUTION IN ORDER TO APPROPRIATE AND TRANSFER $128,150 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE FACILITIES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND PROJECT NO. 07222 FOR THE SECURITY AND INFRASTRACTURE REPAIRS TO OLD CITY HALL LOCATED AT 22738 MISSION BOULEVARD WHEREAS, the Facilities Capital Improvement Program is created to fund facility infrastructure projects with a focus on providing safe, clean and green facilities for employees and the public; and WHEREAS, built in (1930), the Old City Hall was constructed and sits directly atop the Hayward Fault, which has contributed to significant structural damage over the years; and WHEREAS, in recent years, the condition of Old City Hall has deteriorated further, particularly with a marked increase of vandalism and unauthorized entries that resulted in structure fires; and WHEREAS, to mitigate safety risks and prevent further damage, Old City Hall is in need of urgent repairs; and WHEREAS, an additional appropriation is the amount of $128,150 is required to complete the Security and Infrastructure Repairs to Old City Hall.
BE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City Council hereby approves the amendment to the FY 2025 budget resolution by authorizing the City Manager to transfer $128,150 from the General Fund, and appropriate $128,150 to the Facilities Capital Improvement Fund for Project No. 07222 for the Security and Infrastructure repair to Old City Hall located at 22738 Mission Boulevard.
