RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO CHRISP COMPANY FOR THE MISSION BOULEVARD PARKING LANE PILOT PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 05 237 IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 102,602, AND APPROVING $ 25,000 IN ADMINISTRATIVE
CONSTRUCTION CONTINGENCY
WHEREAS, On February 5, 202 5, the City issued a call for bids for the Mission Boulevard Parking Plan Pilot Project, Project No. 05237; and
WHEREAS, on March 5, 2025, two (2) bids were received. The low bid was submitted by Chrisp Company. The second lowest bid was submitted Design Build Inc. The engineer’s estimate for the project (not including contingency) was $72,533.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby awards the contract for the Mission Boulevard Parking Plan Pilot Project, Project No. 05237 to Chrisp Company of Fremont, California, in accordance with the plans and specifications adopted therefore and on file at the City of Hayward, at and for the price name and stated in the final proposal of the hereinabove specified bidder, and all other bids are hereby rejected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , by the City Council that the Director of Public Works is authorized to expend up to $25,000 for construction contingencies to complete the project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract with Chrisp Company, in the name of and for and on behalf of the City of Hayward, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney.
