RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE SEWER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT PLAN
UPDATE
WHEREAS, Statewide Sanitary Sewer Systems General Order WQ 2022 -0103-DWQ effective June 5, 2023, requires the City of Hayward to submit a Sewer System Management Plan every six years to comply with the State Water Resources Control Board’s (SWRCB) waste discharge requirements; and
WHEREAS, the Sewer System Management Plan was last certified in 2019; and
WHEREAS, the updated SSMP must be approved and adopted by a local governing board at a public meeting; and
WHEREAS, Staff prepared an updated SSMP for City Council’s review and approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the sewer system management plan update attached to the staff report and resolution for this item is incorporated herein and is hereby approved.
