RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXTENSION AND MODIFICATION OF THE
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF HAYWARD AND CITY
ATTORNEY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Employer recognizes Employee’s satisfactory performance; and WHEREAS, a review of the employment agreement was conducted and adjustments were identified to the Personal Equipment and Automobile Allowance, and Cost of Living Adjustments (COLAs) were agreed upon for the term of this agreement; and WHEREAS, Employee and Emplo yer have agreed to an increase in the monthly Personal Equipment and Automobile allowance from four hundred and fifty dollars ($450.00) monthly to five hundred dollars ($500.00) monthly; and WHEREAS, Employee and Employer have agreed to a five percent (5%) COLA effective the pay period including March 24, 2025; a four percent (4%) COLA effective the pay period including July 1, 2025; and a four percent (4%) COLA effective the pay period including July 1, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City C ouncil of the City of Hayward hereby approves the employment agreement between the City of Hayward and the City Attorney beginning April 22 , 2025 through June 30, 2027 and authorizes the Mayor to execute the agreement.
