RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROPRIATE $50,000 FROM TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT (FUND 460) TO TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADE AT HUNTWOOD AVENUE, PROJECT NO. 05737
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2 1-189 on September 28, 2021 , the City Council authorized the City Manager to accept the grant funds and appropriate a total budget of $965,000 for the total project cost for the Traffic Signal Upgrade at Huntwood Avenue; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 22 -227 on September 6, 2022, the City Council approved the plans and specifications for the Traffic Signal Upgrade at Huntwood Avenue, Project No. 05737, and called for bids to be received on September 27, 2022; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 22-258 on October 25, 2022, the City Council approved the awarding of construction contract to W. Bradley Electric, Inc. in not-to-exceed amount of $860,919; and
WHEREAS, the total budget of $1,085,000 was appropriated for the project from the City’s Transportation System Improvement Fund (Fund 460); and
WHEREAS, the project total is estimated to be $1,130,462; and
WHEREAS, additional funds appropriated to the Project are needed to support the final construction, design and administration, inspection and construction management for the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Hayward hereby approves that $50,000 from the Transportation System Imp rovement (Fund 460) be appropriated to the Traffic Signal Upgrade at Huntwood Avenue, Project No. 05737.
