ATTACHMENT II
Hayward Blvd Feasibility Study
Updated Counts and Speeds in 2024

Staff used data from Streetlight Insight, a big data product that uses probe data from connected devices including cell phones, vehicle navigation, and other sources. The data cover all days in March, April, May, September, and October of 2024 and are an estimate, but have been shown to be consistent with data taken from counts, while covering a much larger time period than would be possible using a single count.

Thef following data are for travel all day, but no variation in the patterns below was found during peak weekday travel periods or weekends.

Hayward Boulevard has high average speeds

ATTACHMENT II
2024 traffic volumes are unchanged from 2019 and drop off significantly along the corridor, especially east of Civic Avenue.
