Update

• CAL Fire provided updated Fire Hazard
Severity Maps in February 2025
• Updates have been provided to the City
of Hayward and the Fairview Fire
Protection District, highlighting areas
that are under the jurisdiction of local
fire departments, called “Local
Responsibility Areas”, or “LRA’s”
• These updates are unlikely to affect
homeowner’s insurance
• The Hayward Fire Department will use
the map data to assist with fire
monitoring and suppression efforts
• The City collected public feedback via
the city website from March 19 through
