AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH EDEN YOUTH AND FAMILY CENTER FOR
HAYWARD RIDES PROGRAM SUPPORT SERVICES , ACTIVE
TRANSPORTATION INCENTIVE AND PR OMOTION PROGRAM, PROJECT NO. 06937, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $345,000
WHEREAS, professional service assistance is needed for the Hayward Rides Program; and
WHEREAS, the City was awarded funding from the California Air Resources Board to implement the Active Transportation Incentive and Promotion Program, known as Hayward Rides, which will distribute free bicycles and related safety gear to Hayward residents with a focus on low income and historically underserved communities in Hayward; and
WHEREAS, on May 20, 2025, the City released a Request for Qualifications requesting proposals for Hayward Rides Program Support Services; and
WHEREAS, on June 13, 2025, one (1) proposal was received from Eden Youth and Family; and
WHEREAS, the proposed services meet all requirements listed in the Request for Qualifications and Eden Youth and Family Center have demonstrated to be qualified to deliver the sc ope of work and staff recomm ends awarding agreement to Eden Youth and Family Center; and
WHEREAS, the negotiated cost proposal is in the amount of $345,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with Eden Youth and Family Center , for program support services in a not -to-exceed amount of $ 345,000, for Active Transportation Incentive and Promotion Program, Project No. 06937, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney.
