RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO G&G BUILDERS, INC., FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE SHADED STRUCTURE FOR PROMINENCE LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 3 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $180,000 WHEREAS, the Landscape Maintenance Division maintains eighteen (18) Landscape and Lighting Assessment Districts (LLAD) and two (2) Maintenance Districts; and WHEREAS, each District collects property tax assessments levied on the parcels within the community to fund specific operating and maintenance needs for its District; and WHEREAS, on July 14, 2025, staff released a Request for Proposal (RFP) 26-003 for the design, construction, and installation of a shaded structure in Prominence (LLAD 3) since the existing structure was at the end of its useful life; and WHEREAS, on August 15, 2025, staff received and evaluated three (3) bids; and WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the contract to G&G Builders, Inc., the lowest bidder, in an amount not to exceed $180,000; and WHEREAS, Fund 268 has sufficient appropriated budget for this contract and will have no impact on the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City Manager is hereby authorized to award a construction contract for Prominence Landscape and Lighting Assessment District 3 with G&G Builders, Inc. in a not-to-exceed amount of $180,000, in a form approved by the City Attorney.
