RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO THE SAL ARY AND BENEFITS
RESOLUTION FOR UNREPRESENTED EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the City of Hayward is facing a budget deficit and is taking measures to reduce costs to rebuild the target reserve; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hayward must realize cost saving measures for the current fiscal year 2025-26; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Executive Team unanimously supports the equivalent of a four percent (4%) reduction in annual salary costs for executives ; and Unrepresented Executive classifications except for the Police Chief will take the four percent (4%) reduction through a required eighty-three and two-tenths (83.2) hour unpaid furlough within Fiscal Year 2025-
26. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward hereby approves the amendment to the Salary and Benefits Resolution for Unrepresented Employees.
