RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION
TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A FIVE -YEAR LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT CONTRACT FOR THE 92 RELIEVER ROUTE WITH LOS LOZA, INC. WITH A MAXIMUM COMPENSATION NOT-TO-EXCEED $387,000
WHEREAS, on January 13, 2026, staff released a Request for Quote (RFQ) 26 -016 seeking a qualified landscape contractor for maintenance along Route 92/Clawiter-Whitesell Interchange and Reliever Route since the current contract is nearing the end date; and,
WEHREAS, on February 25, 2026, staff received and evaluated three (3) bids; and,
WEHREAS, Los Loza was the lowest bidder with a bid of $63,360 annually, subject to CPI increases; and,
WHEREAS, there will be no additional impact to the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute a landscape management contract with Los Loza, Inc. for the 92 Reliever Route with a maximum compensation not-to- exceed $387,000 and a contract term of five years.
