Dear Mayor Salinas and Members of the City Council,
Good Morning! I wanted to highlight the great work of our transportation staff (copied), in their ongoing efforts to align the FY26 Pavement and
Bike Pedestrian Master Plan wherever
possible.
As some may recall, Bike Hayward opposed
the FY26 Pavement Plan
due to deviations from
the Master Plan earlier this year.
Since then, they have:
-Diligently highlighted deviations relative to the Master Plan -Collaborated with Bike Hayward/Bike Eastbay on ways to minimize deviation within the limited scope of a pavement project (ongoing)
We are very appreciative of the transparency and collaborative spirit. We look forward to continue working together on achieving our shared vision of safety first infrastructure.
