RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND
APPROPRIATE A FISCAL YEAR 2024 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE - COMMUNITY PROJECT FUNDING (CPF) GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,930,000 FROM DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR THE ST. REGIS MULTI-SERVICES CAMPUS PROJECT
WHEREAS, In the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law 118 -42) (the FY2024 Act), and the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law 118 -47) (the Further FY2024 Act) Congress made $3,290,054,336 in funding available for Community Project Funding (CPF); and
WHEREAS, CPF awards are administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and
WHEREAS, HUD received the information below about the St. Regis Multi -Services Campus project from Congress; and
WHEREAS, in August 2024, the City was awarded $1,930,000 for the St. Regis Multi- Services Campus project; and
WHEREAS, these funds are restricted to the approved project scope and will support site preparation and rehabilitation activities necessary to bring the property into compliance to support planned uses, including operation of the HNC.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED , that the City Council of the City of Hayward authorizes the City Manager or their designee to accept $1,930,000 in grant funding from HUD to support the St. Regis Multi -Services Campus project and increase revenue and appropriations in Fund 220 (Federal Grants) for FY 2025-26.
