RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH HI-LIFE AIRFIELD SERVICES FOR THE
PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT OF THE AIRPORT HANGAR IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 06 826, IN AN AMOUNT NOT -TO-EXCEED $244,387.10 AND APPROVING $24,438.71 IN ADMINISTRATIVE CONSTRUCTION
CONTINGENCIES
WHEREAS, the project will be used to repair and maintain the payment around the City owned hangars located at the Hayward Executive Airport; and
WHEREAS, the project will include a seal coat, crack seal, and markings of approximately 265,482 square feet; and
WHEREAS, the City proposes utilizing Sourcewell, a cooperative purchasing program for competitively bid construction services to contract with Hi-Lite Airfield Services for the project; and
WHEREAS, the total project cost is $268,825.81, which includes a 10% administrative construction contingency in an amount of $24,438.71; and
WHEREAS, funding for the project will be from the Airport Capital Fund (Fund 621).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute an agreement , in a form approved by the City Attorney, with Hi-Lite Airfield Services for repair and maintenance of T-Hangars for a total not-to-exceed amount of $268,825.81.
