RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH IMAGETRAND TO PROVIDE CLOUD-BASED
DATA AND MAPPING ANALYTICS SOFTWARE FOR THE HAYWARD FIRE
DEPARTMENT WITH A MAXIMUM COMPENSATION AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $540,000 FOR A FIVE-YEAR TERM
WHEREAS, the Hayward Fire Department uses software programs to maximize operations and reply to emergency needs throughout the city of Hayward to provide mapping, patient data, equipment tracking and resource management; and
WHEREAS, the Hayward Fire Department has determined that ImageTrend is the most compatible and proficient program for the needs of daily operations; and
WHEREAS, local agencies, including Alameda County Fire, utilize ImageTrend in emergency and firefighting operations, and the addition of the Hayward Fire Department onto this shared system will allow for smoother integration and communications for local events; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hayward can piggyback from a contract bid and executed by the City of Berkeley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute an agreement with ImageTrend to provide cloud -based data and mapping analytics software for the Hayward Fire Department with a maximum compensation not-to-exceed $540,000 for a five-year term subject to approval by City Attorney as to form.
