RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A GROUND
LEASE AGREEMENT WITH SIMMONS AND ASSOCIATES FOR AIRCRAFT
PARKING RAMP AND TAXIWAY Z ACCESS AREA WITH THE EXECUTIVE
HAYWARD AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the City of Hayward (“City”) owns and operates Hayward Executive Airport (“Airport”); and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to lease certain property on the airport; and
WHEREAS, Simmons and Associates, Inc. have expressed interest in a parking ramp area adjacent to their property located off airport property , located at 20876 Cors air Blvd, Hayward, CA 94545; and
WHEREAS, as there is no other formal interest in the parking ramp area at this time, staff recommends that the City enter into a land lease with Simmons and Associates, Inc; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration permits airport sponsors to enter into leases by negotiation or solicitation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute a ground lease with Simmons and Associates, Inc . for the parking ramp and Taxiway Z access area adjacent to the property located at 20876 Corsair Blvd, Hayward, CA, in a form approved by the City Attorney.
