RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR
BIDS FOR THE SOUTH HAYWARD SAFE ROUTES FOR SENIORS PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 05323
WHEREAS, in 2022, the City Council adopted Resolution Nos. 22 -014 and 22 -063 approving the plans and specifications and subsequently awarding a construction contract for the Downtown Safe Routes for Seniors Project, Project No. 05309; and
WHEREAS, the South Hayward Safe Routes for Seniors Project continues the City’s efforts to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility for seniors and people with disabilities by extending improvements to additional locations in South Hayward; and
WHEREAS, those certain plans and specifications for the Safe Routes for Seniors (SR4S) Project, Project No. 05323, are hereby adopted as the plans and specifications for the project; and
WHEREAS, the Project is categorically exempt from environmental review under Section 15301 (c) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for existing facilities, consisting of the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alterations of existing facilities ; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice calling for bids for the required work and material to be made in the form and manner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids therefore will be received by the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 777 B Street, 1 st Floor, Rotunda, Hayward, California 94541 up to the hour of 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14th, 2026 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and declared by the City Clerk in the Hayward City Hall Rotunda, located on the 1st Floor of City Hall, Hayward, California.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council will consider a report on the bids at a future regular meeting following the aforesaid opening and declaration of same.
