RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN
INDIVIDUAL GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES
RECYCLING AND RECOVERY (CALRECYCLE) ILLEGAL DISPOSAL SITE
ABATEMENT GRANT PROGRAM AS THE ASSIGNED DESIGNATED SIGNATURE
AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the California Public Resources Code authorizes the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to administer various Grant Programs; and WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority, CalRecycle is required to establish procedures governing the administration of the Grant Programs; and WHEREAS, CalRecycle grant application procedures require, among other things, an applicant’s governing body to declare by resolution certain authorizations related to the administration of CalRecycle Grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City of Hayward is authorized to submit an application to CalRecycle for the Illegal Disposal Site Abatement Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or their designee, are hereby authorized as Signature Authority to execute in the name of the City of Hayward all grant documents, including but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments, and requests for payment, in a form approved by the City Attorney, necessary to secure grant funds and implement the approved grant project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these authorizations are effective for five years from the date of adoption.
