RESOLUTION NO. 22-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CALTRANS MASTER AGREEMENT NO. 04-5117S21 AND PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT NO. 000000Y58 INCLUDING ANY AMENDMENT THERETO TO RECEIVE $36K TO DEVELOP A LOCAL ROADWAY SAFETY PLAN AND BE ELIGIBLE FOR OTHER STATE-FUNDED GRANTS IN THE FUTURE WHEREAS, Caltrans is now requiring local agencies enter into Master Agreements to be eligible for future state-funded grants similar to their process to receive federally-funded grants they administer; and WHEREAS, Caltrans is requiring the City enter into a Program Supplement Agreement to said Master Agreement receive $36K to develop a Local Roadway Safety Plan; and WHEREAS, completion of a Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP) is required to receive Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant funding in the future; and WHEREAS, the LRSP will identify and analyze automobile-related safety concerns on local streets and include recommendations to address them.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute Caltrans Master Agreement No. 04-5117S21 and Program Supplement No. 000000Y58 including any amendments thereto to receive $36K to develop a Local Roadway Safety Plan and be eligible for other State-funded grants in the future.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 8th day of February, 2022 by the following vote of the Council:
