HERCULES CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 22-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES ACCEPTING THE ENERGY SERVICES PROJECT AS COMPLETE FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $4,005,348 AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY RECORDER’S OFFICE WHEREAS, the Energy Services Project was completed by Engie under a design/build contract which was awarded by City Council on June 9, 2020; and WHEREAS, this project designed and constructed energy conservation and generation improvements including solar arrays, City building interior and exterior LED lighting conversions, City streetlight conversions to LED, retrocommissioned the Library HVAC and controls, installed new digital thermometers in buildings, and completed major HVAC upgrades to City Hall and the Senior Center; and WHEREAS, Engie diligently prosecuted the work to completion; and WHEREAS, the work was completed in accordance with the contract specifications and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, this project was completed for $4,005,348 and much of the cost of financing will be paid through the energy savings; and WHEREAS, the net energy savings over the 30-year life of the project is projected to be $2.65M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that the City Council hereby accepts the Energy Services Project as complete for a total amount of $4,005,348 and authorizes the filing of the Notice of Completion with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 22nd day of February, 2022 by the following vote of the Council:
