RESOLUTION NO. 22-
ADOPT A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE 2021 STREETLIGHT REPLACEMENT PROJECT CONTRACT WITH NEMA AS COMPLETE FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $142,120 AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY RECORDER’S OFFICE WHEREAS, the 2021 Streetlight Replacement Project contract was awarded to NEMA Construction for the low bid amount of $152,120 at the October 12, 2021, Council meeting; and WHEREAS, NEMA began the work shortly thereafter and diligently prosecuted the work to completion; and WHEREAS, the project was completed for $142,120, as the $10,000 for site restoration and contingency funding was not needed on the project; and WHEREAS, the project has been completed in compliance with the approved plans and specifications to the satisfaction of the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, the Notice of Completion must be filed with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office to allow final payment to be made to the contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that the City Council hereby accepts the 2021 Streetlight Replacement Project contract with NEMA as complete for a total amount of $142,120 and authorizes the filing of the Notice of Completion with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 12th day of April 2022 by the following vote of the Council:
