RESOLUTION NO. 22-
Resolution of the City Council of the City of Hercules amending the INTERNAL SERVICE FUND FY 2021-22 Budget FOR iNFORMATION tECHNOLOGY SERVICES INCREASING its appropriation BY $400,000 and AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF REIMBURSEMENT PROCEEDS FROM CYBER INSURANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF APPROXIMATELY $330,000 WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted the FY 2021-22 Budget on June 22, 2021, representing the financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Hercules; and WHEREAS, staff is proposing that General Fund expenditure appropriations for the Internal Service Fund FY 2021-22 budget for Information Technology Services be increased by $400,000 for costs associated with a recent cyber security data breach for data breach response and recovery efforts; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the report and recommendations of the City Manager on the budget amendments and has determined that the budget amendments are both fair, appropriate and warranted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
The Council hereby approves amendment to the City’s Internal Service Fund FY 2021-22 Budget for Information Technology Services to increase appropriations by $400,000 for the costs associated with a recent cyber security data breach for data breach response and recovery expenses.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 12th day of April 2022, by the following vote of the Council:
