HERCULES CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION 2022-032
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH YIFTEE FOR A SHOP LOCAL/GIFT CARD PROGRAM FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $65,000 FUNDED BY AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT (ARPA) FUNDS WHEREAS, the COVID-19 worldwide public health pandemic has resulted in numerous detrimental impacts on a global scale and includes national, regional, and local impacts; and WHEREAS, the City of Hercules, its residents and business community have experienced these impacts which includes significant impacts on Hercules’ business community; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council seek to assist the City of Hercules’ business community in their recovery from the impacts of the pandemic; and WHEREAS, the staff has evaluated assistance programs and recommended an e-gift card program available through Yiftee, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council have determined that entering into an agreement with Yiftee Inc. for the purposes of establishing the Hercules Shop Local/Gift Card program is a necessary and prudent action in support of the Hercules business community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with Yiftee, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $65,000 in accordance with the agreement attached hereon and incorporated herein.
2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $65,000 using ARPA funds as approved by the City Council at its Midyear Budget Update on February 22, 2022.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 26th day of April, 2022 by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: T. Grimsley, C. Kelley, D. Romero, Vice Mayor A. Walker-Griffin, Mayor D. Bailey.
