CITY OF HERCULES WATERFRONT BLOCKS ABCD OUTREACH COMMUNITY WORKSHOP Key Takeaways from Survey Comments and Workshop Feedback  Many have been waiting for a town center and development prescribed in the form-based code of the WDMP
 Ledcor Proposal lacks character and is a typical suburban residential development that is not consistent with Hercules’ character
 Historic buildings on the site should be preserved and be used for the community
 Adequate parking should be provided
10 CITY OF HERCULES WATERFRONT BLOCKS ABCD OUTREACH COMMUNITY WORKSHOP Key Takeaways from Survey Comments and Workshop Feedback  Desired amount of development is split
 Some want more development as in the WDMP
 Some want less as proposed in the Ledcor Proposal
 Lower building heights are favorable in the Ledcor Proposal  Siting, size, and design of “historic park” in Ledcor Proposal and its connection to the waterfront are favorable
11 CITY OF HERCULES WATERFRONT BLOCKS ABCD OUTREACH COMMUNITY WORKSHOP Key Takeaways from Survey Comments and Workshop Feedback  WDMP offers a more pedestrian-friendly and walkable
environment
 WDMP provides a wider variety of street types and civic spaces  WDMP promotes a mix of uses such as retail, commercial, office, and flex space, which would provide needed amenities to Hercules and tax revenues for the city
