RECOMMENDATION:
Receive presentation, discuss, and provide direction if any.
FISCAL IMPACT OF RECOMMENDATION:
There is no financial impact associated with this recommendation.
DISCUSSION:
This Capital Improvement Program update is being made to ensure the Council and community are informed of the current status and future plans for capital improvement projects in Hercules.
The FY 22-23 Program includes 25 projects totaling approximately $18.3M that are organized under the 5 functional areas of Streets, Sewer, Buildings & Facilities, Parks, and Regional Intermodal Transportation Center (RITC).
The update will highlight the following projects:
Streets – Sycamore Avenue Rehabilitation Project, Annual Safe Sidewalk Program, Willow Avenue Sidewalk Project, Village Parkway Traffic Calming, One Bay Area Grant Application Projects.
Sewer – Sycamore Avenue Lower and Upper Sewer Trunk Main Projects.
Buildings & Facilities – Master Plan, Community Center Gym Floor Repair & Fence Replacement.
Parks – Master Plan, Baywood Tree Replacement, Beechnut Park, Victoria Linear Park Project, Children with Disabilities Swingset.
RITC – Path To Transit Project Conservation Easement & Environmental Monitoring, Utility Relocation Phase, Consultant Contract to Advance the Project for Grant Funding.
The full Capital Improvement Program is attached (Att #2) and staff would be pleased to respond to any questions regarding projects in the Program that are not in the presentation.
