SUBMITTED BY: Tim Rood, Community Development Director SUBJECT: Agreement with CSG Consultants for Code Enforcement Services RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with CSG Consultants in the not-to-exceed amount of $130,000 for code enforcement services.
FISCAL IMPACT OF RECOMMENDATION:
The cost for this contract is included in the General Fund in the proposed FY 2022-23 Budget.
DISCUSSION:
CSG Engineering has been providing the City with code enforcement services since September 2021. Contract code enforcement officers Lee Holt and James Jonte have assisted the Community Development Department by investigating potential code enforcement issues, including inquiries from the public; contacting property owners, and working with them to bring properties into compliance, including the issuance of notices to abate and administrative citations when warranted.
The agreement is anticipated to provide an average of 16 hours per week of Mr. Jonte’s code enforcement services through June 30, 2023 and provide the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances on identified tasks and on-call services for new tasks as they arise.
