SUBJECT: Finance Commission Appointment to Fill a Vacancy RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Based on interviews conducted prior to the Regular Meeting tonight, decide whether to make an appointment to fill the vacancy on the Finance Commission.
FISCAL IMPACT OF RECOMMENDATION:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
DISCUSSION:
With the recent resignation of Commissioner Risbi, The City’s Finance Commission (listed below) has one vacant seat with a term expiration of December 31, 2023. The City conducted a recruitment for applicants to fill the seat for the unexpired term. The recruitment ended on July 20, 2022.
Finance Commission – One (1) term ending December 2023.
The Finance Commission meets bi-monthly on the third Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Commission is advisory to the Council. One (1) application was received from Terrell Kingwood.
