RESOLUTION NO. 22-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH ROSS RECREATION EQUIPMENT TO FURNISH AND INSTALL A WE-GO-SWING, A SWING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, IN REFUGIO PARK IN THE AMOUNT OF $86,727, AND UP TO A 10% CONTINGENCY OF $8,673 FOR A NOT TO EXCEED TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $95,400 WHEREAS, the Hercules City Council approved Budget Referral #22-2 for the installation of an all-abilities swing to make the Hercules’ park system truly inclusive to all users; and WHEREAS, The We Go swing is the first of its kind and one of a kind, as it allows multiple wheelchairs, as well as able bodies, to all swing at the same time and is self-powered by those on the swing; and WHEREAS, Ross Recreation is the exclusive distributor of We Go swings; and WHEREAS, the project is fully funded in the FY 2022-23 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a sole source contract with Ross Recreation Equipment to furnish and install a We-Go-Swing, a swing for people with disabilities, in Refugio Park in the amount of $86,727, and up to a 10% contingency of $8,673 for a not to exceed total contract amount of $95,400 The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 11th day of October, 2022 by the following vote of the Council:
