Description:

We will place a storage unit 40’ long, 8’ in width and 8’ tall which shall be used as a small recycling facility. Provided is the Site Plan with the proposed location of the unit, however, we are open to any, and all, suggestions on the size, color, and location of the above mentioned storage unit.

As a recycling center, we would collect, from the public, certain types of beverage containers made from Aluminum, Glass, and Plastic (#1-7) such as sodas, water, beer, and juice. All containers must be labeled with California Refund Value (CRV). We do not accept any scrap metal, cardboard, or anything other than Aluminum, Glass, and Plastic (#1-7) due to the fact that they do not have the CRV labeling.

Once approved, our recycling center will be open Monday thru Saturday from 9:30am to 5:30 pm and would be attended by a well-trained employee at all times while open. Our employee would be responsible for helping customers unload their CRV material into our bins, weighing all material using a scale ( which will remain within the bin all the time) that is certified and inspected regularly by the Department of Weights and Measurements, filling out all necessary paperwork (such as the Daily Log which summarizes how much material we have bought that day), and paying customers, in cash, on site using a small cash box we would have inside the container.

Also, in conjunction with the host business, we will keep the area clean of any spills, trash, dirt, or any other nuisance at all times.

We will keep all the materials inside the storage unit and would empty it on a regular basis.

We strive to exceed your standards and expectations by:
 Using low profile, low noise non-electrical equipment  Keeping the storage unit and the surrounding areas very clean and well maintained  Keeping our activities inside the container to increase customer parking  We would have well trained, kind, employees on the premises at all hours of operation.

Some benefits of having a recycling center are:
 We fulfill the State mandate of having a recycling service for the nearby supermarket and other businesses in the shopping center
 We help reduce the cost of garbage collection for residences and businesses  We are a great and convenient avenue for citizens to reclaim the money they have paid into the California Redemption Fund (CRV) when they purchased beverages.  Our presence helps create community awareness of energy and resource conservation.  We actively help the environment.
