RESOLUTION NO. 22-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH KLEEN-TECH IN THE AMOUNT OF $150,504 PER YEAR FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR CITY FACILITIES WHEREAS, A Request For Proposal (RFP) for janitorial services was advertised in the West County Times on September 26 and October 3, 2022 and in 5 regional plan rooms; and WHEREAS, three proposals were received by the due date of October 18, 2022; and WHEREAS, Kleen-Tech was determined to provide the best value to the City and through negotiations with the City adjusted their scope and lowered their fee from $202,388 to $150,504 to stay within the budgeted amount for this service; and WHEREAS, contracting for this service will allow for other deferred building facility maintenance to be completed and provide the flexibility to reassign staff on urgent issues such as storm response.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an annual contract with Kleen-Tech in the amount of $150,504 per year for janitorial services for City facilities.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 24th day of January 2023 by the following vote of the Council:
